Shipping & Timeframe
Shipping is standard $30 via Canada Post Xpresspost, and generally takes 1-3 business days in Canada, and 3-5 business days US. For international or rush shipping I also use FedEX which will need to be custom calculated depending on your location. If you live in the Toronto area I also offer local pick-up.
Portraits usually take 3-6 weeks, though during high traffic seasons (ie. Christmas) I would ask that you contact me as soon as possible to get in queue. If you have a specific deadline, please let me know so that I can accommodate.
Please provide one or more close up, clear and detailed photos of your pet(s). The larger the photos, the easier to work with. Once we connect, I'll send you an email that you can reply to with high resolution (large sized) digital pictures directly. If you are not sure, feel free to send me several photos and we can decide together. If you're interested in a portrait with more than one pet, I can combine them from different photos if you don't have one with all of them together.
Ordering a Custom Portrait
I offer gift certificates in any denomination, which have often been purchased for gifts & charity events. Please inquire for more information.
I collect a 50% deposit up front, with the balance and shipping paid upon completion. I will email you an invoice through Paypal which is safe and secure for both parties. You can pay directly with a credit card. I will send you a photo of the completed work before sending a second invoice for the balance & shipping.
I normally do not provide framing myself in order to save you on shipping costs as the framed piece would require a crate for the delicate glass. Local framing would also give you an opportunity to choose the style of frame and mat that you prefer. If you are on a budget, my 14" x 17" portraits work nicely with a standard 16" x 20" frame which can be purchased anywhere. What I can offer is a museum quality 4ply mat for an additional $50 which will be wrapped in a plastic sleeve for gift/presentation, and can easily be popped into a stock size 16" x 20" frame.
