How much does a custom pet portrait cost?

Once we finalize the details of your order, I will email you a secure link via Paypal for a 50% deposit with the balance & shipping due upon completion.  If you prefer e-transfer just let me know in advance.

Shipping
How do you ship your charcoal pet portraits?

All of my charcoal pet portraits are drawn on acid free bristol vellum paper, signed and sprayed with a matte fixative. They are unframed so they can be rolled and shipped anywhere. I also offer local pick up if you are in the Toronto area.

Securely packaged and insured shipping is $35 within Canada or the USA. Please inquire for other locations. The portrait will be shipped via courier with signature required, and I will provide tracking information as soon as it's on its way.

Timeframe
How long does a pet portrait take to complete?

My charcoal pet portraits generally take 2-3 weeks to complete, and I'm extra busy in December so please provide me with plenty of notice close to the holidays, particularly if you live outside of Canada. If it's a gift for a special occasion, let me know the date and I'll be sure to have it completed in time.

Reference Photos

What are the best photos to send for pet portraits?

Clear, close up photos of your pet emailed in a large size work best so I can capture as much detail in your drawing as possible. If you're not sure what to choose, send me the photo(s) you have and we can discuss. For portraits with multiple pets I can usually work from separate photos and group them together in a single drawing.
